Food I Am is committed to ongoing sustainability and reducing our environmental impact.

Set high on the hill overlooking Wagga Wagga, the picturesque landscape and surrounding rural properties remind us of the importance of our local environmental area and its indigenous significance as part of Wiradjuri country.

Our ongoing commitment so far have led us to:

·      Reducing water consumption with a 130,000 litre water tank, planting drought tolerant natives and using water efficient appliances and fixtures.

·      Reducing energy consumption with a passive design for natural light and heating, use of energy efficient appliances, upgrading power and using sensor lighting

·      Reducing waste and educate our guests on how to do this at home with an oil recycling program, menu planning to reduce food waste and waste reduction tips in our cooking classes.

Food I Am are now looking to further reduce our environmental impact by upgrading to more energy efficient commercial appliances that will help us continue to be a more sustainable business into the future.
