The preparations and planning were so straightforward with guidance provided throughout the process including excellent recommendations on local vendors which was really useful for us planning a wedding remotely. Despite the complexities of the Covid pandemic (including a wedding postponement) the team at Nu-Lumeah were flexible, always available and solution focused.
We had the BEST day we could possibly have dreamt of, assisted in no small part by the attentiveness of Tania and Nerida on the day, the extremely friendly and professional waitstaff and the absolutely delicious food. So so many of our guests have remarked on just how special the day was and what an ideal venue Nu-Lumeah is - it really is the perfect combination of wow factor and personalised approach.
The venue is stunning with views out over Wagga, with beautiful photo opportunities both on the lawns and the surrounding landscapes. The sunset shots have to be seen to be believed!
There is an excellent selection of food options and ability to cater for multiple dietary requirements. The canapes are highly impressive and allowed guests to mingle on the lawn and soak up the delightful atmosphere. We were able to bring our own drinks and Nu-Lumeah were happy to co-ordinate a spectacular champagne tower and prepare cocktails in addition to the more standard drink offerings.

“Well, where do I start.
When my partner and I first got engaged and did the whole where should we get married I originally wanted to get married where we currently lived and Ash wanted to get married in wagga to make it easier with travel on both our families, so my bargaining chip was okay, wagga it is then but we have to get married at Nu-Lumeah, when we did the first walk around the venue with our parents they understood why by its beauty.
I guess when you plan your dream wedding you don’t include a worldwide pandemic or social distancing restrictions when you think of a cozy country wedding but that’s what ended up happening to us, well we thought we were getting the worst of it (corona) but we were so, so wrong, it barely had even began at that point.
Nerida, Tania and the team at Nu-Lumeah did everything legally and humanly possible to help make our dream come true. We live a few hours away and both my partner and I work on the weekends but Nerida was always happy to accommodate our unusual availabilities to have meetings when we came into town through-out the year leading up the wedding, responding as soon as she could and answered every little annoying question, while in the same breathe making me feel so welcomed.
We got married when the pandemic was starting to get talked about and in the week leading up to the wedding we had the government change the rules and regulations it felt like every single day, the AMAZING staff just rolled with the punches not to mention they checked in on me making sure I was still alright – like come on that’s service! The Friday before the wedding is supposed to be an easy breezy set up be there for a couple hours putting the cute decorations out and such, it ended up being pretty much all day trying to re-do the reception lay out to suit the new social distancing guidelines then that afternoon they brought out new guidelines that the team at Nu-Lumeah had to re-do those and move everything out to the lawn to make sure everyone was safe all while we were getting glamorous they wouldn’t even let us help them out. One thing I said to Nerida was, is there a way we could still utilize the hanging flower installations and Nerida even brought in a something from her house to hang it so I could still have my flowers and to top it all off the venue looked absolutely amazing.
If you are looking for a wedding venue really this should be the top option for you, not to mention the incredible views or the area which is just so picturesque they are that one and a million that will do anything to make your day all that you wish. Definitely believe if we weren’t with these guys, another venue would have given up on us having to change things around so much for us to have our day.

Nu-Lumeah is a magnificent destination wedding venue which offered our guests the perfect country wedding experience as the majority of our guests travelled from capital cities.
From our first meeting with Tania and Nerida, we were completely at ease with the excellent level of service and attention to detail which they offered – it’s so important to have a trusted venue team when organising a destination wedding. Working in the hospitality and events industry, our expectations were high but the Nu-Lumeah team totally exceeded these! All emails and questions were answered quickly and efficiently – taking away a lot of stress for us.
The venue location and surrounds are absolutely stunning with a beautiful marquee, lawns and contemporary bar which are the perfect backdrop for photography. The food was absolutely delicious, served in abundance by a friendly team with service which was second to none. All of our special requests from a beautiful Champagne Tower which was executed flawlessly, through to the exquisite presentation of our cheese cake were met with enthusiasm and always with a can do attitude.
The Nu Lumeah team went above and beyond by enthusiastically participating in a special
dance piece during the reception – creating the most wonderful memories for us and our guests.

Our initial attraction to booking our wedding with you was because you were so relaxed about the process. You armed us with the necessary information to make a decision but also backed that with so much care and joy for us - you never put any pressure on us to book with you and you always made us feel comfortable to ask questions about the package and you spent time meeting with both of our families in order to book. The other thing we really loved was that your package and pricing was so transparent - no hidden costs here and there if you made small changes or wanted to add more time. We really wanted to give you this feedback as this is a very unique wedding package right from Sydney through to Melbourne - everywhere we looked had a base rate package which seems reasonable but then the second you want the space for longer, more food, change the wine, bring a band etc the price changed, making it very difficult to work out a budget for the day.
Once we had booked with you, you continued to look after us in such a loving and caring way. I (Kate) remember the many phone calls to Tania in the early days where I was literally crying on the phone trying to navigate the whole process of booking caterers, photographers, florists etc. Tania, you were so understanding and did everything possible to ensure that this process was easy and you never made me feel silly for being so emotional! I was so grateful for those days of discussions. And boy, are we grateful we chose Food I Am for our catering. The food was incredible and all of our guests have raved about the food and everyone went home very full!

“Lara and I held our reception at Nu-Lumeah, Food I Am, we could not be happier with the venue and support both leading up to and on the day.
Nu-Lumeah provided a friendly event manager who met with us and organised the day, this really took the pressure off. On the day we had plenty of friendly staff onboard we were well catered for and everything was taken care of.
The venue is amazing with views of Wagga, perfect for afternoon drinks and great backdrop for the dancefloor later in the night. Nu-Lumeah at Food I Am also provided the opportunity for sunset photos at the top of the property for Lara and I which were up there with some of the best shots of the day.
Great staff, amazing venue and an all round wonderful wedding. Would recommend this to anyone considering getting married in Wagga or looking for a Country retreat for their wedding.”

The venue has the most beautiful scenery, and the staff make you feel like you are part of the family. “My daughter held her wedding reception at Nu-Lumeah, Food I Am in March 2017.
The anticipation among guests was high as we ascended the final hill at Nu-Lumeah towards the venue and we were all rewarded with a glorious scene: an exquisitely furnished marquee opening onto a beautiful lawn with a magnificent panorama stretching north to Wagga.
Of course the perfect day required much pre-planning by the Food I Am team, particularly Nerida, the events manager, and Tania, the owner. They provided fantastic continuous support and efficiency with all the planning and a network of contacts which ensured the food was brilliant, the bar ran smoothly, the wedding cake was delicious, the music beautiful, the flowers amazing and all the staff on the day delightful and efficient.
All this combined with the most romantic of settings made it a truly memorable day. Every single guest remarked on the fact that it was an unforgettable day and I smile to myself whenever I think of it. My daughter and her husband are still on a high! Most regrettably a perfect day had to come to an end.
