Sarn has always had a passion for cooking. Growing up in Adelaide, Sarn has her Mum and Nan to thank for teaching her how to cook at a young age and she turned this love into a career, with more than 20 years’ experience as a chef.

Sarn is no secret to Wagga’s food scene. Now Executive Chef at HIDE Steak & Bar, she has worked for more than 20 years at places like Roundabout Restaurant under Jamie Shepley, Meccanico and Pastorale. With a zest for creating desserts with more than a little bit of theatre, Sarn even had a sideline making celebration and wedding cakes at one point.

While her greatest love is the joy she gets from cooking for family and friends, Sarn also loves to travel and believes there’s simply no better way to learn about local cuisine and customs. She has journeyed the world, finding authentic and unique eateries and bars sampling local delicacies – from Spain, Italy and France, to Dubai, Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Laos, China and Vietnam. For Sarn, the highlight was eating at the 3 Michelin Star Restaurant “Azurmendi” in Bilbao, Spain. Sarn uses her global eating adventures as a source of inspiration and has honed her talent for cooking a variety of cuisines for fellow food lovers right here in the Riverina. She prides herself in providing exceptional food experiences and is a wonderful addition to the Food I Am Cooking School.
